Luke Daniels is an award-winning composer and folk musician who first came to fame when he won the BBC Young Tradition Award followed by the Palme d'Or and PRS Music Bienniel Award for composition. His first major composition work Lost Music of the Gaels was quickly followed by eight solo albums encompassing a wide and varied repertoire. His most recent release Old Friends and Exhausted Enemies touches on Irish and Scottish tradition which has influenced so much of his life and work to date.
Over two decades, Luke has garnered an exceptional reputation across genres. Renowned for performances with Cara Dillon, De Dannan, and Jethro Tull, he has been Musician in Residence at the Scottish National Museum of Rural Life and teaches at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
