Ahead of her attendance at SXSW Austin, Melbourne based artist Lucky announces new single and music video ‘Biting Heels’, the title track from her upcoming debut EP Biting Heels, out 10 April. Accompanying the single is the announcement of a run of headline shows in support of the EP, with Lucky starting the tour in Brisbane, before heading to Melbourne, Sydney, and finishing up in Adelaide.
The music video for ‘Biting Heels’ saw Lucky once again collaborate with ARIA Award winner Kyle Caulfield (Dom Dolla, G Flip, The Rubens) who also worked on the music video for her single ‘Houston’.
The nine track EP also features singles ‘Lady Beetle’, which was added to Spotify’s coveted Fresh Finds Global playlist, landed high rotation on triple j, and hit viral status three separate times on Shazam across Australia; as well as ‘Adored’, and ‘Clover’.
Lucky’s first 12 months performing live set the tone for a fast-rising artist. She played her debut headline shows in late 2025, selling out the Melbourne leg of the tour ahead of time, and played with the likes of The Belair Lip Bombs, Hockey Dad, Armlock and Dear Seattle, before tying off her support slots for the year opening for 90’s icons Garbage across Australia. She finally wrapped the year winning the triple j Unearthed slot at Beyond The Valley Festival.
Her appearance at BIGSOUND last year saw her named as an artist to keep an eye on for 2026 and she walked away from the industry conference having signed label and agency deals with Community Music and Select Music respectively.
