Special Forward Bends and Inversions — Level 2 & UpWorkshop with international Iyengar teacher Lucienne Vidah (visiting Amsterdam)
Forward bends cultivate both strength and length in the back, providing essential support for the spine when practiced with mindful alignment and without strain. In this workshop, we will move gradually from an active state toward a balanced sattvic state of calm clarity. Spending more time in forward-bending poses helps the analytical mind soften and invites a reflective, inward mood.
By combining forward bends with inversions, we create a deeply grounding and rejuvenating Sunday afternoon practice—one that balances action with introspection.

About Lucienne Vidah
Lucienne’s teaching invites students to feel and inhabit their embodiment through a detailed focus on specific areas of the body. To be truly present, she says, one must be “very alive.” Her approach to yoga emphasizes acute awareness of both body and mind as an ongoing process rather than a fixed goal.
To beginners, she offers this advice: “Find the joy and beauty of āsana. Practice without questioning too much for a while—the understanding will come later.”
