The Level 2 Snowboard Course is designed to increase the understanding of LSIA Technical and Teaching Concepts and the role of snowsports teaching within the snowsports industry. Candidates will receive coaching on their snowboarding, teaching skills and will also receive suggestions and strategies for their long-term development. Basic-intermediate snowboarding and its variations (long, short, drills, etc.) and application to variable terrain are cornerstone of Level 2 Course.
LSIA Level 2 is a pre-requisite for the LSIA Level 3 Instructor Programme.
● It is a 5 day (40 hrs) course followed by a 2 day (16 hrs) assessment.
● Learning process is based on a balance between practical (minimum 5 hrs on-snow) and theoretical (3 hrs indoor) elements.
Entry requirements:
● Be 17 years of age at the commencement of the course
● Candidates should arrive with an understanding of both the technical and teaching philosophy of LSIA.
● Candidates must have Level 1 certification or foreign equivalent from an ISIA member country.
● No previous teaching experience is required however teaching experience is for successful completing of Level 2 certification strongly recommended.
Content:
● The LSIA Level 2 course is good for any snowboarder who has passed all the requirements of the Level 1 certification. Level 2 training programme enables snowboard instructors to improve their decision making and teaching skills and to acquire a better understanding of LSIA technical concept and methodology. The Level 2 certified instructor will be qualified to teach intermediate and slightly advanced snowboarders in most snowsport schools.
● Candidates will receive coaching on their snowboarding, teaching skills and will also receive suggestions and strategies for long-term development.
Assessment and awarding:
● A two day assessment run by LSIA examiners, will include teaching scenarios, demonstration ability and written test. Movement analysis unit will be also included within the written test part of assessment.
● Three examiners are used to run the LSIA Level 2 assessment. Assessment days of the Level 2 course will be run as a training day always with different LSIA trainer/examiner. The day is to be spent covering teaching topics, practicing skills and working on general snowboarding ability.

Level 2 snieglenčių kursai yra skirti giliau suprasti LSIA technines ir mokymo koncepcijas. Kursų metu kandidatai galės tobulinti savo asmeninius čiuožimo įgūdžius su trenerio patarimais, bus mokomi pamokos vedimo įgūdžių, taip pat gaus pasiūlymų ir ilgalaikio tobulėjimo strategijų. Basic-intermediate čiuožimo lygis snieglentėmis ir įvairūs pritaikymai (ilgi, trumpi posūkiai, pratimai ir kt.) ir pritaikymas esant kintamoms sniego, reljefo sąlygoms yra 2 lygio kurso svarbiausioji dalis.
Level 2 kursas yra būtinas, norint dalyvauti Level 3 kursuose.
● Tai yra 5 dienų (40 val.) kursas, po kurių seka 2d. (16val.) skirtų vertinimui.
● Mokymosi procese išlaikomas balansas: praktinių (mažiausiai 5 val. ant sniego) ir teorinių (3 val. vidaus) elementų.
Patekimo reikalavimai:
● Kurso pradžioje būkite 17 metų amžiaus
● Kandidatai turėtų atvykti su LSIA techninės ir mokymo filosofijos supratimu
● Kandidatai privalo turėti ISIA valstybės narės LEVEL 1 pažymėjimą arba atitikmenį užsienyje.
● Nereikalaujama jokios ankstesnės mokymo patirties, tačiau labai rekomenduojama mokymo patirtis, norint sėkmingai baigti Level 2 kursą.

Kursų eiga padieniui:
0 kursų diena: Atvykimas vakare
1-5 dienos: 8:30 - 13:30 val. praktikos ant sniego (su trumpa pertrauka). Dar 2-3 val. individualių bei komandinių užduočių ne slidinėjant. Vakare arba prieš ir po slidinėjimo (priklauso nuo išorinių faktorių).
6 diena: 8:30-13:30 val. praktika ir vertinimas ant sniego (su trumpa pertrauka).
7 diena: 8:30-17:00val. praktika ir vertinimas ant sniego (su trumpa pertrauka). Aptarimas. Kurso vadovų žodis apie kandidatus, sertifikatų įteikimas sėkmingai išlaikiusiems kursą. Išvykimas po slidinėjimo.
