About this Event

Low Down on Law presented by Catherine Davey, Esq

This presentation will explain considerations to think about when seeking guardianship, guardian advocacy, supported decision-making, and substituted decision-making for adults with disabilities. By attending this session, families can save money on legal fees when they have the information they need to make the best decision for their family members. The program will also briefly touch on ABLE, Social Security Benefits, Transition Planning, and Medicaid Estate Recovery.

This informative workshop is designed for parents, guardians and advocates of individuals with special needs. Attorney Catherine Davey will discuss the importance of legal and estate planning for families with special needs. In this workshop, you will also learn the basics of special needs trusts while exploring both guardianship and guardian advocacy.

This registration form is intended for UCF CARD constituent families. All other individuals should register through the Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida.
