Come join us for the magical #LovetheReans Lantern Parade 2026 at Gatis Community Space! Register to be a part of the walking mushroom forest and let's light up the night together. This in person event will be a night to remember, filled with music, fun, and lots of love for the Reans community. Don't miss out on this special celebration under the stars. See you there!
In this years parade we look into the legend of Springheeled Jack.
Programme:
6 pm - Gather at Wildside Activity Centre (Please note no parking available on site)
6.30pm - Parade Event Starts
7.30 pm - Camp Fire and BBQ at Gatis
9 pm - Event Closes
Throughout the event there will be pop up performances under the banner of Reans Got Talent
This Walking Mushroom Forest ticket allows you to borrow a lit mini mushroom to carry for the duration of the parade.
Q: Is there parking available for this event?
A: No sorry there is no parking available other than street parking near both venues. Should you require disabled access parking please phone both Wildside and Gatis directly to book.
Q: do we have to book?
A: Yes this is a free event but we encourage you to book a ticket so we know how many people we are expecting, this helps us manage the event and ensure there are enough marshalls to support the event. We also encourage Pay As You Feel donations to help support the ongoing costs.
Q: How long is the actual parade?
A: The parade event starts at 6.30 and we aim to be at Gatis by 7.30 - the parade route is just under 1 mile.
Q: Will there be refreshments available?
A: Yes there will be drinks, BBQ and cafe at low cost available at Gatis (please note that cash is preferred)
Q: Is this a family friendly event?
A: Yes this event is suitable for all ages and we aim to make the pace of the parade such that little legs can keep up where possible. Please consider bringing smaller children in pushchairs or slings etc.
Q: What should I wear to this event?
A: We recommend sensible footwear and suitable layers for the weather on the day. Beyond that we encourage bright, festival style dress up with lots of lights where you can!
