Please join us to celebrate the launch of Aisha Muharrar's debut novel Loved One. Aisha will be in conversation with the one and only Maris Kreizman. Books will be available for purchase at the event for signing by the authors.
We will be raising funds for KIND. Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) envisions a world in which unaccompanied and separated children’s rights and well-being are protected as they seek safety. We are thrilled to support their work. 100% of ticket sales will go directly to KIND.
Aisha Muharrar is the Emmy Award–winning television writer and producer of hit shows like Hacks (HBO), Parks and Recreation (NBC), and The Good Place (NBC). She organized the LA Freya Project from 2016-2020. As a high school student, she wrote the non-fiction book More Than A Label, published by Free Spirit Publishing. LOVED ONE is her debut novel.
Maris Kreizman's book of essays I Want To Burn This Place Down was published in June 2025. She is an essayist and critic with a bi-weekly column at Lit Hub whose work has appeared in The New York Times, New York Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, The LA Times, Vanity Fair, BuzzFeed, The Atlantic, Esquire, The New Republic, Cosmopolitan, The Ringer, GQ, Publishers Weekly, Smithsonian, Town & Country, and more.
