Our Guest Speakers:
Ustadha Fatima Barkatulla is a British ‘Alimah (Islamic scholar), author and presenter of the IlmFeed Podcast. She completed a Masters in Islamic Law, with Distinction, at the SOAS Law School, University of London, winning the Doreen Hinchcliffe Memorial Prize for Best Student in Islamic Law.
Ustadha has graduated in Classical Islamic Law from the Alimiyyah Programme at the Ebrahim College seminary as well as completing the Licence in Islamic Scholarship at AlSalam Institute.
Sr Naila Ahmed has a legal background with a specialism in human rights and counterterrorism law. She is Head of Casework at CAGE, an international civil liberties NGO. She has been involved in public law cases and supported clients from across the world in bringing claims against a wide range of abuses including torture.
