About this Event
As we warm up the winter with the love season, UChicago Guild of Carillonists is presenting an annual Valentine’s Day carillon concert, who plays the 72-bell carillon at Rockefeller Memorial Chapel at the University of Chicago! We will celebrate the beloved, console the heartbroken, and explore romantic music with the tower bells on the Friday before Valentine’s Day. You will listen on the ground level with a livestream of the playing cabin in the tower and light refreshments. The program will be released the day of.
The event is free of charge and open to all with no RSVP needed. Suggested donation: $5, free with UChicago ID. The chapel is also open to visitors every week Tuesday through Friday 11 a.m. – 5 p.m., with carillon tower tours beginning at 11:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Additional information can be found on the guild linktree.
