About this Event
This February, Thrive Yoga is honored to offer two special editions of our usual Friday 6:00 PM Flow yoga class, taught by Kris and rooted in a shared theme: Safety – The Body as Home.
These classes will take place on Friday, February 6 and Friday, February 13. They will be donation-based and free to non-members, including family and friends of our studio community. All donations from both classes will support the , helping provide safety, resources, for families affected by abuse in our County.
The theme Safety – The Body as Home frames the body as a safe place to return to for grounding, stability, and agency. These classes are an invitation to move, breathe, and reconnect with a sense of steadiness and care within ourselves, especially during a season that often centers love outside of the self. While themed, the classes will follow the familiar rhythm and flow of our regular Friday evening practice.
As part of this offering, we’ll have a space in the studio for participants to write Valentine’s “love notes” with messages of encouragement, care, and positive wishes for victims seeking assistance at the Family Justice Center. These notes will be shared as a reminder that they are seen, valued, and not alone.
We hope you’ll join us, bring a friend, and help us extend care beyond our studio walls to this vital cause. Thank you for supporting the Montgomery County Family Justice Center.
