Join us for this very special evening with contemporary poet, Sara Rian, at the beautiful Historic. This evening will honor love and grief and will be the beginning of celebrating ten years of Welcome Home’s mission. We are honored to partner with Rhyme N Chatt, a non-profit organization and poetic family based in Chattanooga, TN, providing a safe place where poetry is shared and discussed and the poet is valued.
Welcome Home is also celebrating 10 years in the community.
The proceeds from this course goes towards helping Welcome Home meet our mission of creating a community of care for those who are facing serious illness or death and need safe shelter.
About Welcome Home:
All should die surrounded by love and compassionate care. We believe that everyone has purpose, and at the end of life, everyone should know that they are important and will be remembered.
We provide shelter and loving care at Welcome Home, partnering with area hospices who provide the professional medical care.
We offer the opportunity for love, grace, and forgiveness.

Info: Sara Rian is a poet, self-published author, mother, wife, licensed therapist, and griever living in Metro Detroit. She has been drawn to grief poetry ever since her mother's death in 2018. Her mother embraced the power of words through her own love notes and poems and had always wanted to publish a book. As a mental health professional, suicide loss survivor, and grieving human, Sara shares her work with others to let them know that they are not alone in their big love or big grief. This has also been a way for her to help make her mother’s wish come true as she is the inspiration behind every poem and book.
