About this Event

Louden Swain

Heart-on-sleeve rock & roll built on brotherhood, resilience, and 25 years of shared history.

When Louden Swain began work on their tenth studio album, Feelings and Such, life looked different for all four members. Divorce, loss, the pandemic — everything shifted. What didn’t change was the bond between them. “We’re like brothers,” says frontman Rob Benedict. That creative loyalty is the engine behind a record that feels alive, immediate, and hard-won.

Blending rock & roll swagger with melodic jangle, Feelings and Such captures a band rediscovering the joy of playing together after months of isolation. Recorded largely in the same room over an inspired weekend, the album crackles with real-time energy — from groove-driven jams to roadhouse riffs to anthems about pushing through darkness and finding something hopeful on the other side.

Formed in Los Angeles in 1997, Louden Swain have built a fiercely independent career, sharing songwriting duties and growing an international following along the way. Benedict’s parallel career as an actor — including his role on Supernatural — expanded their audience, with the band eventually becoming the house band at conventions across the country. Whether playing to thousands at a convention or in an intimate club, the connection runs deep.

Now a quarter-century in, Louden Swain sound both seasoned and renewed. Feelings and Such is a testament to endurance, friendship, and the belief that even in uncertain times, rock & roll can still feel like salvation.

Dylan Connor

Rooted in the craft of classic singer/songwriters and inspired by cultures of the world, Connor continues in the tradition of Billy Bragg, Ben Folds, and Tom Petty. Present-day comparisons include Dawes, Nada Surf, and Phoebe Bridgers, while Connor himself claims kindred spirit influences including Jeff Buckley, Matthew Sweet's power pop, and Death Cab For Cutie. "Connor has a broader worldview than most songwriters. He's got an easy way with a pop hook and can be a ferociously incisive wordsmith." — New York Music Daily

His upcoming album, Lest We Forget, expands that sonic palette even further. Produced by lifelong friend Merritt Jacob, now a sought-after producer and engineer in Brooklyn, the record spans 11 tracks that move from dark, driving guitars reminiscent of The Cult, to the clean, shimmering textures inspired by Jeff Lynne’s work with Tom Petty, to stark, emotional piano-led moments echoing the raw intimacy of Plastic Ono Band. It is Connor’s most dynamic and cinematic work to date.
