XOL MEISSNER
The performer alias of Swiss-born, NYC-based composer Mauro Hertig, Xol Meissner merges a soft baritone croon with the singular resonance of a hammered lap-steel guitar. His music unfolds as intimate, otherworldly soundscapes — sparse yet emotionally dense. With a background in contemporary classical composition, Meissner’s debut album Excess of Loss (2025) was praised as a haunting and unique statement, resonating deeply through its restraint, fragility, and quiet intensity.
KASHO CHUALAN
Vienna-based Kurdish-Canadian pianist and sound artist Kasho Chualan explores the emotional and physical textures of sound through experimental performance and improvisation. Working with prepared piano, electronics, voice, and everyday objects, her music is shaped by experiences of political unrest, human vulnerability, melancholy, and nature. Each performance challenges conventional listening — raw, immersive, and deeply embodied.
