Over the river and through the woods, to Lothlorien we go (to paraphrase and force the stress weirdly onto another syllable.) This is a reminder that you are welcome to load up your sleigh (or car, or motorcycle, etc.) and join us at Lothlorien for our Thanksgiving celebration. Everyone is welcome-if you don’t have a family to spend the holiday with, join us, or bring the family along.Our annual community Thanksgiving pitch-in is being organized as usual by Elders Emeritus Hedwig and David.
We’ll be feasting in the long hall between 4 and 5, but you’re welcome to arrive early and stay late to enjoy the land and good company, play games, help set up or clean-up after. Board games and musical instruments are always welcome, too.
Bring whatever food means Thanksgiving to you—that’s part of our tradition-- or contact Hedwig for suggestions. We'll need people to make a couple of turkeys, a ham and all the sides and desserts.
Please bring your own tableware & serving utensils. Please bring food prepared and ready to serve. We have always said this, but this year, we really mean it. We're working on ways to keep food warm, but the Long Hall kitchen is still closed and water to the sink is disconnected.
