LOSS AND BEREAVEMENT WORKSHOP

14th October 2024, 7.30pm at Taunton Baptist Church

We have all grieved for the loss of something or someone that is important to us. This is a normal human emotional response and we each journey through this grief/bereavement differently.

We are all part of church communities where death is no stranger. This workshop is for those who find themselves called to support those who are facing loss, usually due to bereavement following the death of a spouse/ partner.

How well do we understand our own grief responses? Are we as well equipped as we might be to come alongside others to support them?

Rev Ann Fulton, Chaplain at St Margaret's Hospice Care will be leading a workshop at Taunton Baptist Church, on Monday 14th October from 7.30pm.

Outline of the workshop:

· Putting on our own life jacket before helping others

· Different emotional responses to loss

· Factors that make some losses more difficult, disturbing, perplexing

· A model of good practice – ‘filling our back pocket’
