About this Event
Take a journey through the world of Japanese food replicas in this curator-led, behind-the-scenes guided tour of the exhibition Looks Delicious! Exploring Japan’s food replica culture.
Exhibition curator and Japan House London Programming Director Simon Wright explores the culture of food replicas in Japan. The tour takes a closer look at the process of making food replicas as well as at their current and possible future applications.
This is an exhibition about food replicas, rather than food itself, and there is an opportunity to find out how the exhibition was conceived and the various collaborators in Japan involved. It is an ideal occasion for those taking part also to understand more about the curatorial process. Questions are encouraged.
The event lasts for about 45 minutes. Please note that the starting time differs from day to day to make it accessible for various audiences.
The exhibition Looks Delicious! Exploring Japan’s food replica culture is on display in the Gallery at Japan House London from 2 October until 16 February 2025.
Please note that filming and photography may take place at this event. Photos and footage of the event may then be used to promote Japan House London, helping more people to discover what we offer. If you have any concerns, please contact us online or contact a member of the team on site.
