About this Event

From the swamps of a 70's-themed house party to Canada's indie stages, Loch Nisse Monster tells stories with a mix of alternative folk and indie rock. Drawing comparisons to Lucy Dacus, Angel Olsen, and Stevie Nicks, Nisse's craftful lyricism brings unconventional emotional truths to life. Loch Nisse Monster has been featured on CBC and is a favourite on CKCU radio, and in the local festival network. Her song Fog in the Window was the recipient of an honourable mention from the Carleton Poetry & Songwriting Competition in 2023. In June, Loch Nisse Monster followed up the with her debut album, Forensis. The concept record is based on a the journey of a crime scene as a metaphor for a breakup. Nisse is taking to the stage at Meow! That's Hot! on March 27th for the singer-songwriter showcase "Look What the Cat Dragged In" by Ego & Vice Podcast.
