Turn your idea into a business! Join the 7-week BYOB workshop series + compete for $40K in funding. Limited spots, register now!
Curious about entrepreneurship, starting a business, or want to build entrepreneurial skills? The Longo Family Be Your Own Boss (BYOB) is a 7-week, in-person program designed to help you evaluate ideas and turn them into successful businesses. You’ll learn to identify problems, understand your audience, and explore what makes a business viable. Whether you’re exploring entrepreneurship or eager to start your own business, Longo Family BYOB prepares you to create real business opportunities.
Participants will have the chance to compete for a share of $40,000 in funding to bring their ideas to life. To be eligible for the final pitch competition, participants must attend at least five of the seven sessions.
The Longo Family BYOB program runs in person at Humber Polytechnic Lakeshore Campus from January 13 to February 24th, 2026, with sessions held every Tuesdays from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. North Campus sessions will run in person on Thursdays from January 15th - February 26th.
