LONGMEAD RESERVER, BROWNS BAYVOLUNTEER RESTORATION MORNING
Several accessways to Longmead Reserve means that it used as a shortcut, and also as a flat walking and exercise area.
There are many beautiful mature trees in this reserve that are in danger of being overcome by climbing invasive weeds. Volunteers spend these regular mornings weeding and making a significant impact. We also plant in areas that have been cleared. With our long-term ecological plan in motion, positive changes are starting to take shape. Come along and see what a small group of people can achieve in such a short amount of time!
We are a cheerful group who welcomes any newcomers who are keen to come give us a hand.
What to bring/wear:
Gardening gloves
Water bottle
Snacks
Sturdy footwear (shoes, boots or gumboots).
Dress for the weather.
All tools are supplied.
