On June 4th from 17:30–21:00, we welcome the arrival of summer with a long table dinner set in Gammel Strand’s beautiful orange courtyard. The evening begins with a guided tour of the current exhibition at Gammel Strand, before we gather around a shared table dressed with summer flowers and seasonal dishes.
The menu celebrates early summer, centered around fresh vegetables, light flavors, and simple, thoughtful cooking. Expect a relaxed and atmospheric evening with a balance of culture, food, and good company.
Menu:
Asparagus, radishes, young turnips, fresh peas and seasonal spreads
served with whipped herb cream, light vinaigrette, warm sourdough & whipped butter
Cold Beetroot Soup
polish summer soup with egg and fresh herbs
Fish & Early Summer Vegetables
gently cooked fish with savory rhubarb sauce grilled asparagus, greens & new potatoes with butter and herbs
Strawberries & Cream
white chocolate custard with lemon and a touch of liquorice served with fresh strawberries
