About this Event
Have you been invited to or attended a screening for prostate cancer? UCL is working with Visual Artist /Facilitator, Kate Watson on an interactive photography project to explore how you make decisions about prostate cancer.
If you're selected to take part, you will receive a £50 "Thank You" for your time and input.
We will explore how photography techniques can support you to share your experiences and perspectives on diagnosis and treatment options around prostate cancer, and meet research scientists trying to improve prostate cancer treatment.
You do not have to have any previous experience of photography to take part but you do need to have access to a smartphone camera or digital camera.
On signing up, you will be asked some questions so we can get to know you. We are seeking people from a range of backgrounds to take part and only have room for a limited number of participants for this workshop. We can offer anonymity and you do not have to take photos in which you are identifiable if you do not want to.
After this workshop, we will ask you to take some photos and do some other creative tasks in before a 1-to-1 meeting with Kate.
We will contact people to confirm attendance, and shortly after send through a workshop plan of activities and topics we will explore during the session, in addition to any related workshop materials. After the session, participants will receive a £50 "Thank You" for their time and input.
If you have questions, please email [email protected]
