We are nonprofit organizations dedicated to serving individuals with disabilities and uniting communities across Southern California through adaptive sports and recreation. Our mission is to provide adaptive sports and recreation programs for kids and adults with developmental, cognitive, and physical disabilities in a welcoming, safe environment.
With an estimated 7-10% of Southern California residents under 65 identifying as having a disability, our adaptive sports and recreation programs have made a meaningful impact—empowering athletes, supporting families, and inspiring volunteers and donors alike. Our reach spans Long Beach and surrounding regions, fostering inclusive spaces where everyone has the opportunity to play, grow, and thrive.
PLAYMAKERS of Long Beach and SoCal Adaptive Sports are proud to be partnering with the Long Beach City College and the Long Beach City College Foundation to host our second local adaptive sports and recreation fair on Saturday, May 16, 2026 from 10am-2pm at Long Beach City College. This event is FREE to attend!
