Essex will surprise you with its picturesque villages and quiet lanes, winding through gently rolling countryside. After stops along the way, with lunch by Mountnessing windmill, we reach the Finish in the pretty gardens of Priory Park, Southend with music, refreshments, beer tent and a well-earned medal!
Southend Victoria railway station is close by with trains every 20 minutes back to London - bikes go free!
