Hello chums. After a long hiatus Champagne Charlie and I decided that we would organise a return of the London Easter Parade. Inspired by the NYC Easter Parade we thought it would be fun to arrange an informal Easter Sunday meet-up / stroll. Just an excuse to put on your finery (and perhaps a beautiful hat) and catch up with old friends and make some new ones really.The plan is as follows:
- 10.30am start to congregate under the portico of St Paul's Church in Covent Garden (facing the actual market) - nearest tubes Covent Garden or Leicester Square
- 11.00am take a group photo and start a leisurely stroll (route TBC) possibly including a stroll down down to Trafalgar Square, along the Strand, up Aldywch and Kingsway, towards the gardens at Lincoln's Inn Fields and then back around to Fleet Street and stopping off for a drink at The Devereux (Deveruex Court) or Cheshire Cheese (Little Essex Street). The whole route is wheelchair accessible and will be taken at a steady pace. We'll update this Facebook event with our location for those who want to join us along the way.
- Plenty of opportunities for photos and catching up with friends and making new ones.
