Step into London’s festive riverside glow and learn how to capture beautiful Christmas photos — whether you’re using a phone or a camera.
This guided Christmas photo walk explores the Southbank Winter Festival and Thames-side lights, where you’ll learn how to photograph atmosphere, reflections, movement, and cosy festive moments in low light — all at a relaxed, enjoyable pace.
Led by a professional photographer, this experience is less about technical rules and more about learning to see, experiment, and create images you’re genuinely proud of.
📍 What we’ll photograph
We’ll follow a carefully chosen riverside route including:
- Southbank Centre Christmas tree & festive displays
- Southbank Winter Market — stalls, lights, food, details
- Queen’s Walk along the Thames — fairy lights + skyline
- Riverside viewpoints with reflections across the water
- Ending near Waterloo Bridge for night cityscape shots
📸 What you’ll learn
Along the walk, you’ll get hands-on guidance covering:
- How to shoot Christmas lights without blur
- Simple low-light settings for phones & cameras
- Composition techniques for night photography
- Using reflections, layers, and foreground interest
- Capturing movement, silhouettes, and festive details
- Creative prompts to help you shoot with intention
You’ll also take part in optional creative challenges designed to sharpen your eye — not overwhelm you.
