About this Event

SUTR SCOTLAND IS MOBILISING FOR THE DEMONSTRATION TO OPPOSE FASCIST TOMMY ROBINSON ON 27 JULY

We'll organise a meetup point from Glasgow and one from Edinburgh and that we'll all meet together in London in the morning. The train leaves in the morning and comes back to Scotland the same day. For security reasons full details will be sent to you.

The far-right Reform UK party won 4 million votes in the general election. Its leader Farage poses as an anti-establishment figure but wants to blame migrants and refugees for the problems in society, letting those who are responsible off the hook. In Scotland, RUK got 7 percent of votes - the highest vote in Scotland ever for a far-right party.

Fascist 'Tommy Robinson' wants to seize this mood to build. They think this is their opportunity to replicate the breakthroughs their Nazi co-thinkers in the French RN or the German AfD have had. On 1 June, 'Robinson' mobilised 5,000 on 1 June – the largest turnout for the fascist since his movement was defeated in 2018/19. After the election result, he is calling his fascist, racist and far-right supporters back to London on 27 July.

We know we can defeat him - because we have done it before. Robinson has twice been stopped from building a fascist movement through unity and mass mobilisation by antiracists, trade unionists, socialists, faith groups...

SUTR Scotland is organising transport by train to send a contingent of antiracists and trade unionists from Scotland to support and join the mass antifascist counter demonstration

Book a ticket to travel with us

SUTR Scotland has pre-booked train tickets to travel together to the demonstration and come back on the same day, as a group and safely. When you book and pay, you will be contacted by email with further details.

If you can't go, can you fund a ticket for someone else?

Organising transport to London is extremely expensive for campaigners. If you cannot travel yourself, but can make a contribution towards others' train tickets, please donate generously. (Each individual train return ticket is worth more than £100!).

This Eventbrite booking will cover your train fare (there and back) on the 27th.
