It's been WAY too long but we're back! London's princeliest ceilidh night (TAFKA Folk Of The Wood) will return to SE27's Portico Gallery on Friday 30th Jan, 2026. Full details and tickets at www.folkstars.co.uk/burns Ceilidh Tree ("Jig yourself into a frenzy" Timeout) will be laying on three sets of folk-dance merriment with stomping fiddles and caller Zoot to show the moves. Expect classics like Dashing White Sergeant, Gay Gordons, Strip The Willow alongside some lesser known alt-ceilidh gems. We'll also be welcoming a highland piper plus guest orator Kevin McGlue to summon the spirit of the great man Burns. Full bar plus haggis on sale (meat and vegan) by our good friends Beamish & McGlue. Proceeds from the event are going towards Folkstars (www.folkstars.co.uk) a non-profit that has been setup to give more primary school kids the chance to learn an instrument. Dust off that purple tartan...LET'S GO CRAZY!
