Meet the Speakers :

Olaf Groth (Moderator): Dr. Olaf Groth is a Professor at UC Berkeley Haas School of Business, focusing on global strategy and innovation. He is the CEO of Cambrian Futures and Cambrian Labs, specializing in AI and emerging technologies. With 30 years of experience, he has advised organizations across 35+ countries on navigating technological disruption and is a member of the World Economic Forum's Global Expert Network.

James Hodson (AI for Good Foundation): James Hodson is the CEO and co-founder of the AI for Good Foundation, which focuses on using AI for social good. He previously led AI research at Bloomberg. With a degree in philosophy and computer science from Princeton, Hodson's work includes optimizing farming with AI and leading humanitarian efforts in Ukraine, where his foundation has 40 staff members. He developed the LifeForce platform, providing real-time access to resources across 37,000+ locations in Ukraine, in collaboration with the Ukrainian government.

Anne-Sophie Séret (Everyone.AI): Anne-Sophie Séret is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Everyone.AI, a non-profit focused on the opportunities and risks of AI for young people. The organization leads an international coalition of governments, AI companies, and experts to promote responsible AI for future generations. On February 10th, Everyone.AI hosted a session at the AI Action Summit in Paris, inviting stakeholders to shape beneficial AI policies for children. They published an open letter signed by tech leaders.

Tianyu Fang (New America): Tianyu Fang is a writer and researcher focusing on technology policy and U.S.-China relations. He is a Technology and Democracy Fellow at New America, supported by the MacArthur Foundation. Fang co-founded "Chaoyang Trap," a newsletter on Chinese internet culture. His work, featured in publications like Foreign Policy, explores China's technological advancements and their global implications. He contributes to discussions on U.S.-China geopolitical competition in technology and digital policy.
