Join us on a 90-minute tour through D Division and learn about the history of Pentridge Pr*son.
Pentridge Pr*son is a heritage-listed former Pr*son located in Coburg, Victoria. It was established in 1851 and holds historical significance as it was initially the first women's Pr*son in 1894 before becoming the Metropolitan Remand Centre for the Victoria justice system.
Take a step back in time and learn about the history of Pentridge Pr*son. These tours provide visitors with insights into the site's history and introduce them to individuals who have spent time in the Pr*son.
This tour is conducted by ex-Pr*son officer Dennis Bear and former inmate Doug Morgan, providing visitors with a unique and immersive experience.
During the tours, visitors can explore all three tiers of D Division, the condemned and observation cells, hallways, exercise yard, and the site where eleven executions occurred between 1932 and 1967, including the last woman and man executed in Australia, Jean Lee and Ronald Ryan.
Tours run fortnightly on Saturdays at 10:30 am at D Division, offering a regular opportunity for individuals to explore this historic site.

Please arrive 15 mins before the allocated tour start time, outside D Division: , 3058 Coburg (opposite Coburg Town Hall)
Latecomers will not be granted entry and will not be provided a refund.
It contains coarse language, and descriptions of violence may be used. Due to its content, the tour is unsuitable for children under 16; it contains potentially distressing material that may be traumatising.
Parts of the tour will be held outside, so please dress accordingly.
There are stairs included on the tour. Flat footwear is recommended.
