Join us for this hands-on, sustainability-focused series highlighting regionally sourced goods and services. We’ll welcome artisans and local producers who will share with us their various crafts. From field to finished product, attendees will learn from our presenters’ practical, real-world experiences. Learn about natural dye practices, large- and small-scale floral design, as well as minimal-waste food sourcing and local agriculture. Discover how your daily choices support the environment and the local economy, helping you craft a truly unique home and sustainable lifestyle through mindful creation.Join Erin Luna, a natural dyer and artist with a passion for plants and wild-crafting, for a hands-on workshop on indigo dyeing. Similar to the Japanese art of Shibori, we will use manual resist techniques—like folding, binding, and clamping—to create patterns before the fabric is immersed in the rich, natural blue dye. You will use these methods to create a beautiful, one-of-a-kind cotton tea towel. Tea towels and dye will be provided, while supplies last.
