About this Event
This summer the Net Zero Industry Innovation Centre are running a series of relaxed and friendly workshops for local people who want to learn more about how industry on Teesside is changing as it moves towards low‑carbon energy, such as hydrogen and carbon capture.
You'll watch a model that shows the planned changes in our digital lab and take a short walk to visit to a site awaiting redevelopment and use a simple digital visualisation on a phone or tablet to see what future developments might look like. There’s no specialist knowledge needed — just curiosity and a willingness to share your thoughts. We’ll chat as a group about what feels positive, what worries you, who you think might benefit or lose out, and how these changes could affect local communities, the environment, jobs, and skills.
Everyone who takes part will receive a £30 shopping voucher as a thank you, and refreshments will be provided. The aim is to listen to local voices and make sure community experiences and concerns are part of conversations about a fair low‑carbon future for Teesside.
