9 mile walk all day, 5 mile in the morning, 4 mile in the afternoon.
Meet at the public carpark next to The Barge pub, off Newport Road, Woolstone, Milton Keynes, MK15 OAT. (Please do not park in the pub car park, there is plenty of room in the public car park next door).

Walk details
This is a figure-of-8 walk, where we walk a morning loop, returning to the start point at lunchtime, and after lunch walk a second route in the afternoon. This means people can walk the morning loop only, the afternoon loop only, or walk all day. If you are walking all day please bring some lunch with you, as there may not be time to buy food during the break.
In the morning, we'll follow the river to Willen Lake, and walk a circuit of the lake. Heading back to Woolstone, we will cut across to the canal and see the new marina development. The morning loop is nearly 5 miles.
We will have our lunch, and stop for a quick drink at the Barge pub next door to the starting point. There won’t be time to buy food from the pub, so please bring a packed lunch with you.
In the afternoon we will start at 1:30pm from the car park. We will head south along the canal until we arrive in Woughton, we'll then head across to the river, and follow it north, past the medieval fish ponds back to Woolstone. The afternoon loop is around 4.2 miles.
Everyone is welcome, whether you’re an established member of the group or haven’t walked with us before. New Members are welcome to join us. The paths in the morning are mostly hard paths, in the afternoon, it may be muddy alongside the canal.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome, though please note there may be stiles, livestock and other dogs on the walk. Any dog owners are fully responsible for their dog. More information is available on the Ramblers website https://www.ramblers.org.uk/advice/safety/dog-walkers.aspx.
