The Operators formed in 2018 from members of Indianapolis ska/punk bands the Circle City Deacons, Harley Poe, Lockstep and Indien, later joined by lead vocalist Brittany Brumfield.The group delivers a mix of neo-traditional ska sounds with the energy of punk, marked by shifting tempos and rhythms and bright and tight horn arrangements. Recordings have included Leave the Light On (2021) and Self-Titled Second Album (2024) on Chicago's JumpUp Records.
Local Mix Music Series (previously Live at the Center) is a free livestream and $10 in-person concert series for the community, featuring local and regional artists in genres from jazz and classical to soul and indie rock. Whether on desktop, mobile device or smart TV, viewers anywhere can enjoy a ront-row perspective on Indiana’s top talent, with multicamera coverage livestreamed in HD video and stereo sound.
