The Kansas Council for Economic Education, in partnership with the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City and the Center for Economic Education at Wichita State University is pleased to invite you to join us.
This workshop will connect classroom learning to the economy throughout our region. Discover innovative ways to integrate local trends and research into your lessons, making learning more relevant for students. Immerse yourself in data tied to local industries and experience how these elements shape the broader economic landscape. Using real data and research, explore key economic drivers and the impact of entrepreneurism locally. Identify concrete ways to spark students’ curiosity and understanding of the world around them.
Local Insights, Global Impact: A Teacher’s Guide to Regional Economics
Workshop Hours: 9 am to 4:30 pm

Location: Kauffman Foundation Center
These workshops offer:
- Graduate Credit from Wichita State for those who qualify
- Meals (breakfast/lunch) and snacks
- Hands-on, standards-based lesson plans and supplemental materials
Your $20 registration fee will be refunded in full on-site upon completion of the workshop.
Graduate credit is available from WSU for one credit hour (additional work outside the workshop will be necessary to complete credit requirement).
