About this Event
Candace Cubito The Miller’s Daughter Local Author Spotlight
Join us on from 9:30–11:30 AM for an inspiring local author spotlight featuring Candace Cubito, a lifelong writer whose love of poetry, travel, and fairy tales has shaped a rich creative journey.
Candace published her first poem at just sixteen and went on to earn a master’s in education, spending thirty years teaching and studying learning models across Europe in England, Sweden, Germany, and Italy. Her passion for folklore led her along Germany’s famous Fairy Tale Road and eventually inspired her novel The Miller’s Daughter: The Story of Ara, with its prequel currently in the works.
When she isn’t writing or exploring the world—she dreams of walking the Camino de Santiago and visiting every “postage stamp” country—Candace channels her creativity into handmade cards, soaps, and floorcloths. She and her husband divide their time between Syracuse and Naples.
Come meet Candace, hear about her writing process and adventures, and celebrate the stories that shaped her work.
