Hammond says,"I want to let the reader feel what it is like to be lost and the elation of being found." At the center of his fiction books is the joyous character of Boo the-wonder-dog. "Dogs do things for us we cannot do for ourselves. In their drive to please they will go into the worst conditions and find people clinging to hope on the worst day of their lives." Sandra Schnakenburg is the award-winning author of The Housekeeper's Secert. After earning a B.S. in Finance at Arizona State University and an MBA from the University of Southern California, Sandra and her husband Karl, settled in Singapore, then Australia — where their twins, Kyle and Alexis, were proudly born. She considers faith and family to be themost important part of her life, adding the love of yoga, hiking, biking, and skiing as her main hobbies that keep her centered. After moving back to the United States, they lived in The Woodlands, Texas, where she and Karl raised their family. During that time, she worked on and off in corporate finance until she took up the love of writing. A philosophy of curiosity and a promise led her to write her first Memoir, The Housekeeper’s Secret - a personal story to fulfill her family’s dying housekeeper’s wish. In the process, she grew fascinated by the mechanics of storytelling and the power it holds connecting family through the generations.
