Lundi Gras, the Monday immediately before Mardi Gras Day - also called "Fat Monday' or "Shrove Monday" - holds its own ever-evolving traditions and celebrations. The JUMBO CIRCUS PEANUTS, known for putting Mardi Gras on the social calendar in Portsmouth, NH, bring a Mardi Gras style celebration & dance party to Jimmy's Monday Night Local Artist Series. Featuring the music of Professor Longhair, The Meters, Dr. John and other New Orleans luminaries along with their usual mix of rocking funk and soul, the JCP promise to let the good times roll! The Jumbo Circus Peanuts are: John Prendergast - Alto Sax, Greg Vail - Tenor Sax, Carol Woodman - Clarinet, Todd King Todd Robertson - Trumpet, Tim Griffin - Trombone, Dan Curtis - Trombone, Michael WIse - Trombone, Edie Lafrance Brindamour - Trombone, Chip Brindamour - Bass, Michael Spidy Blout - Guitar and Paul Wolf - Drums.

Doors open at 5:30 PM. Seating is general admission and first come, first served, come early for the best spot! Full food and drink service begins at 5:30 PM and continues throughout the show.
