About this Event
Please join us at the Massachusetts State House. Event starts at 9am in the Gardner Auditorium with a light breakfast. We will have speakers address our legislative priorities and set up meetings with their local representatives and senators offices to advocate for:
- Botox, An Act enabling trained dental hygienists to administer dermal fillers and botox (lead sponsors: Pavel Payano, Frank A. Moran, & Manny Cruz)
- Dental Therapy, An Act to improve oral health for all Massachusetts residents (lead sponsors: Jason Lewis, Pat Duffy)
- Nitrous Oxide , An Act relative to dental hygienists (lead sponsors: Michael O. Moore & Sean Garballey)
- Public Health Dental Hygienist third party billing, An Act relative to the sustainability of public health dental hygienists through adequate reimbursements (lead sponsor: Jason Lewis, Pat Duffy)
- Dentist & Dental Hygienist (DDH) Compact (lead sponsors: John Cronin, Bud Williams)

What is Lobby Day?
Lobby Day is an annual event where dental hygienists and dental hygiene students from across Massachusetts come together at the State House to advocate for our profession and the oral health of our communities. This is a unique opportunity for us to meet directly with legislators and their staff to discuss important issues that impact dental hygienists, patients, and the future of oral health care in our state.
