About this Event
This interactive Storytelling workshop invites you to slow down, sip something warm, and fill your soul’s cup.
This month’s event will focus on the life and art of Loah Pope. A year ago, our community lost Loah to suicide – all proceeds will be donated to TimeOut Youth, a non profit organization that supports lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning youth by offering vital programs, fostering unconditional acceptance, and creating safe spaces for self-expression through leadership, community support and advocacy. Please know that we will be covering potentially triggering topics in regards to mental illness.
The evening will include:
🌿 A grounding opening activity
📝 Guided journaling prompts & collage creation
🎤 A featured performance by Libba Moore
🎙️ An open mic for community members to share personal stories
The event welcomes both seasoned artists and curious beginners. It’s a space where vulnerability is honored and creativity is nurtured.
🌱 We believe storytelling is a sacred act of healing—both personal and collective. When we gather to listen and share, we make room for empathy, transformation, and joy. Come ready to witness, to be inspired, and maybe even to speak. Every story matters.
🌟 Goals of the Storytelling Show:
- To nurture a brave, welcoming space where all voices—quiet or loud, practiced or new—are invited to share and be heard.
- To celebrate the power of personal narrative as a tool for healing, reflection, and connection.
- To ground ourselves in community, finding strength and resonance in our shared human experiences.
- To ignite inspiration, empowering attendees to tap into their creative expression—whether through words, movement, art, or sound.
- To honor the stories that shape us, and to witness one another with care, curiosity, and compassion.
