loadbang Presents: A Place to Land
A Place to Land is bound not by a musical thematics but an ethical one. As the title of Maria Bullo’s “Will you share this dance with me” suggests, this concert is an extension of the ways and places we have called new music home. Old mentors and young friends, long colleagues and new collaborators, the composers on this program and the works on offer have all shaped, in some way, how we understand both the musical and social role of our ensemble in the 21st century. Attempting to hold open a space in which all those confluences may simultaneously ring out, A Place to Land is ultimately a concert in which what one hears, under all the music, is something closer to trust and maybe even love.
