This walk is graded as an easy walk as it is flat all the way, but varied with lanes, saltpan paths, a bit of sand, and some pavement.
We start off at Livramento station where we head down towards the saltpans through some quite lanes for about 2km.
We then reach the saltpan path that follows the Ribeira do Tronco alongside Fuzeta town for some stunning views of the Islands, here we have a break before heading back the same way where we will turn on to some unchartered saltpan tracks that will eventually bring us back onto the main road of Fuzeta which we will cross to get back on to some tracks and lanes.
We will then find ourselves in the maze of back lanes of Fuzeta where we will do a loop of the town and head back towards the town square for some coffee and cake before catching our train.
Although this walk is a familiar one for a lot of us, I have added on a new part of the salt pans we haven’t tried before, and we will be exploring tracks on a side of town we have never done.

Walking etiquette on my walks include
• Waiting at junctions for the group to catch up
• Rest periods only begin when the last person joins
• Keeping to the left when on roads and lanes with traffic, and staying on pavements when provided
• Keeping your guide within eyesight at all times, it`s your own responsibility not to get lost.
• Letting your guide know if you are leaving the group so we don’t spend time looking for people who don’t want to be found
