Panelists:
Marie Bukowski
Marie Bukowski is Dean of the College of Fine Arts at Wichita State University and an internationally recognized printmaker. Her career spans leadership roles at multiple universities, including Kent State and Southern Illinois University Carbondale. She holds a BFA from Carnegie Mellon University and an MFA with Honors from the University of Pennsylvania, along with international study in Poland.
Bukowski’s work has been exhibited widely, with over 165 exhibitions—including more than 50 internationally—and is held in museum collections across Europe and beyond. A frequent artist-in-residence, she has also received support from the National Endowment for the Arts and serves as an evaluator for the National Association of Schools of Art and Design.
Elizabeth Hotaling
Elizabeth Hotaling is a self-proclaimed "Collector of Experiences" who believes that a razzmatazz life isn't found in glitz, but in the intentional pursuit of awe. After her 13th move brought her to Wichita, a single "yes" to a Colorado snowshoeing trip sparked a decade-long journey as the founder of the Adventurous Babes Society, an organization dedicated to connecting women through adventurous fun.
Whether she is navigating a reality TV set, traveling the Amazon, or racing her own best time to empty the dishwasher, Elizabeth finds magic in both the monumental and the mundane. Now in her "third chapter" at 61, she is dedicated to staying "green and growing," ensuring she never passes up a chance to dance or a moment to learn something new.
Teri Mott
Teri Mott is a writer and actor working in Wichita, Kansas, where she has covered the performing and visual arts as a critic and feature writer and worked in communications and development at not-for-profit arts organizations for 40 years.
She is a co-founder of The SHOUT, Wichita’s arts newsroom, and serves as creative communications manager for the Ulrich Museum of Art at Wichita State University. She is a 2023 fellow of the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center’s National Critics Institute and is obsessed with cats and David Bowie. Notable moonlighting gigs throughout the years include dive bartender, zine publisher, low-tech DJ, tarot reader, answering service operator, herb gardener, and magician’s assistant.
