A day of dialogue exploring the challenges and triumphs of diaspora life in the UK with an artist working live in the room
About this Event

An opportunity to connect with South Sudanese people in the UK and uncover ways of living well together in diaspora, including:

  • How people come together and overcome differences.
  • The value of mental health and wellbeing.

Share your experiences and contribute to academic research through a day of dialogue and discovery, expertly moderated, and brought to life by an artist working live in the room.

We are a diverse community, and everyone is welcome – join us and share your voice!

Need help getting there? We have a small transport fund to enable groups to self-organise minibus hire to get to Birmingham, where there are sufficient registered participants from the same location. Contact [email protected] for more information.

Buffet lunch and refreshments are provided throughout the day!

Notes taken from this event will inform future research and activities to support South Sudanese people in the UK. Individual participants will not be identified in these notes. By attending this event you give your consent for information shared to be used in this way.
