The Motanka is an ancient Ukrainian talisman, handmade from fabric and thread and created without needles or facial features. Traditionally made as a symbol of protection, hope, and continuity, each Motanka carries intention — to safeguard a home, bless a journey, or support future generations.
Passed down through centuries of Ukrainian tradition, the Motanka represents resilience, memory, and cultural identity. In this event, the talisman comes to life through music, movement, and storytelling — connecting ancestral heritage with contemporary performance demonstrating hope and resilience.
