About this Event
Living History: Who Was Left Out
Part Two of the Living History Series
Moderated by Dr. Ashley Elliott , aka Dr. Vivid, Clinical Psychologist
Join us for the second gathering in a four-part LGBTQ+ intergenerational storytelling series centering the voices of local elders, icons, and activists.
In Who Was Left Out, we will have an honest reflection about who was centered, and who was excluded, in earlier chapters of LGBTQ+ organizing. We want to talk candidly about racism within queer spaces, gender tensions, coalition building between movements (civil rights, feminism, immigrant rights etc.), and what real allyship looked like before it was language we used publicly. Most importantly, we want to ask: what do we need to do better now?
This evening is about honoring lived experience, preserving community memory, and strengthening the bridge between generations.
Come listen, learn, and be part of a conversation that connects our past to our future.
