About this Event
Lived Experience: What Connects Us Across Generations
There is something powerful in listening to those who have lived longer.
Not because their experiences are the same as ours, but because of how they have met life over time. The choices they’ve made, the challenges they’ve faced, and the ways they’ve continued forward all shape how they see the world today, and help us better understand what connects us as we age.
This live conversation brings together two of today’s elders, the first is a conversation with Alice Bowman, born in Newport, who recently turned 90, sharing reflections shaped over decades of lived experience. The second features Dr Jeremiah Lowney and his daughter Gail Lowney Alofsin, offering a personal exchange across generations.
This is not about looking back. It’s about how life continues to unfold. At every age, we want to feel seen, understood, and connected.
This gathering offers glimpses into key moments that shaped how two people have moved through life, and their sense of relevance, visibility, and purpose.
Join us for an evening of real conversation and connection across generations.
This conversation will resonate with today's elders, famlies, neighbors and community members who value connection across generations and a more human, shared approach to understanding the aging experience.
Complimentary light appetizers will be served, with a cash bar will be available.
All ticket proceed from this event will support the Parkgate Restoration Association. Community Partners have helped make this gathering possible.
