About this Event
Step into an evening of powerful storytelling, raw expression, and community connection at our Live Spoken Word Poetry Showcase (Recording Experience) — in honor of Mental Health Month, in partnership with LACDMH and Take Action LA.
This is more than a poetry event — it’s a live, recorded experience where voices are heard, stories are honored, and community comes together in a meaningful way.
Part I: Pressure We Carry (7:00–7:45 PM)
An honest exploration of the weight we hold — stress, identity, expectations, and the emotions we don’t always say out loud.
Sound Bowl Meditation Reset (15 min)
A guided moment to pause, breathe, and ground before the next experience.
Part II: Behind The Role (8:00–8:45 PM)
A deeper look into the emotional realities behind the roles we carry — caregiver, provider, parent, leader — and the unseen layers beneath them.
Throughout the evening, community partners will be on-site sharing mental health resources and support for individuals and families across Los Angeles County.
Come experience the power of spoken word, reflection, and connection — live and in community.
🎟 Free event — RSVP required. Space is limited.
