Chicha Morada is a vibrant band based in Washington, D.C., blending the high-energy sounds of surf rock and rock ‘n’ roll with the soulful rhythms of cumbia and chicha. Led by Alfredo Castro, whose roots in Barranco, Lima, Peru—known for its bohemian culture and ocean waves—inspire their unique sound, the band creates music that bridges continents and cultures.
