Cut a Rug at the Railroad Museum!Blooms, bees, butterflies, and... brass?!
As sure as the leaves return to the trees, spring is back once again!
Join us at the California State Railroad Museum to cut a rug with Midtown Stomp, the California State Railroad Museum Foundation, and the West End Stompers to see for yourself exactly why Spring is Swingin'. From 6 to 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, see the California State Railroad Museum's Roundhouse transform into a swing-dancing speakeasy paradise.
Join us at the top of the event at 6 p.m. for a 45-minute lesson courtesy of Midtown Stomp, and stick around to swing till 9:30 p.m., swingin' courtesy of Sacramento's own West End Stompers. Enjoy delectable libations from Acheson Wine Company between tunes.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Music: Swing and Standards from swingin' giants West End Stompers, a 6-piece trad jazz and swing group that calls Sacramento Home.
Dance Lesson: Arrive at the top of the event (6 p.m.) for a 45-minute dancing lesson from Midtown Stomp!
The bar: Hosted by the Acheson Wine Company.
Drinks: Alcoholic drinks (limit three per guest 21 and older): $10 each. Nonalcoholic drinks: $3.
Museum members will receive a drink ticket at check-in good for one alcoholic or nonalcoholic beverage.
NOTE: Must be 18 or older. Valid ID required for entry. Guests age 18-20 will receive a wristband at the door.
Member presales begin Monday, March 30. Public sales begin Thursday, April 2.
