Featured readers:
◾️ Steve Gerkin is the author of four dozen published essays and three books. He has a Master's in Creative Writing, Nonfiction from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA, and retired from dentistry in 2010. His newly released book, Echoes of Light: Images into Writing, is a collaboration with nationally recognized black and white photographer Sam Joyner. Echoes is a multiple-genre work of ekphrastic writing that uses Joyner’s images as writing prompts.
◾️Zhenya Yevtushenko might be the only poet to have performed at the Library of Congress and Mercury Lounge. He is a food service roustabout, performer, and workshop facilitator. He aspires to become a public school teacher. His work has been published in The Guardian, eMerge Magazine, Right Hand Pointing, and The Tulsa Review. He owes his inspiration to his family and to the love of his life, Olivia.
◾️Michael Wright is a novelist, poet and playwright. His recent books are Shooting the Moon in the Crescent City, a novel, and the poetry collection, Blue Morning Light. Previous fiction includes Purely Gone and Other Departures, a short story collection, and the Baltimore Trilogy novels. Wright’s books on writing for performance include Playwriting in Process, Playwriting Master Class and Sensory Writing for Stage and Screen (Hackett Publishing). He is a member of The Dramatists Guild and PEN America, and a member of the Board of Directors for Circle Cinema. http://michaelplaywright.blogspot.com/
◾️Corinne Gaston is a Tulsa-based poet whose work mostly focuses on nature, city life, and family history. She recently performed as one of the spoken word artists at the local VERSES community festival at the Central Library. Her poem “Coming Home” won second place in the Rural Oklahoma Museum of Poetry's 2024 Oklahoma Poem Contest in the adult category. Her work has appeared in Literary Orphans and Rose Red Review.
